MindWave is looking for talented Back-end SW Engineers to join our SW engineering team in Athens! The position is for a valuable client of ours who is a leading company in finance and banking sector.
Key Responsibilities
You will be working as a Java Back-end Developer within the customer interaction tribe and especially your tasks include the following:
Design, develop, test, install and support application systems in line with product requirements;
Create, deploy and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines;
Apply automation, monitoring and visualization across the architecture;
Prepare and study the technical feasibility and estimates of the proposed systems solutions;
Develop and maintain technical documentation, prepare and give demos to other team/chapter members, management and customers;
Provide coaching and training to junior team members of your squad;
Demonstrate customer centricity by working closely together with the internal customer.
Organize efficient handover through high quality documentation and training.
Qualifications
University degree in Computer science or related Engineering discipline;
At least 5 years of proven experience as a Back-end developer;
Experience in Java EE 11 or newer and Spring framework;
Good hands-on experience with Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, JSP’s, Servlets, JUnit, Tomcat, SQL, SOAP and REST;
Basic knowledge in DevOps and experience in branching strategies, continuous integration, testing, deployment, and monitoring;
Knowledge in configuration management and software deployment orchestration using Ansible;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
Practical working experience in an Agile development (scrum) context;
Team player, analytical mindset, good troubleshooting skills, ability to deal with cultural diversity;
Customer-oriented approach and willing to work in a multicultural environment.
