MindWave is seeking for a Java Engineer in Data/ Data Engineer to join our talented team of engineers in Athens! The position is for a brand new initiative to overhaul the data management processes in an established enterprise in the FinTech industry. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and implement cutting-edge data solutions that support the organization's strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
You will be part of a dynamic team where you will be working on data flows interacting with various systems using various protocols. Specifically, you will:
Implement ETL Processes and workflows;
Collect (raw) datasets from multiple Data Producers in multiple formats over multiple channels and protocols;
Implement Data integration, transformation, anonymization and metrics calculation;
Provide secure distribution of data, in line with the data confidentiality level;
Ensure strong governance, managing and enforcing data access management.
Qualifications
University degree in Computer science or related Engineering discipline;
Strong experience in Software Development Practices and Data Engineering;
Strong programming skills in Java framework, Spring, Springboot;
Hands-on experience with Big data stack: Apache NiFi, Apache Spark, Kafka, Air Flow, Hadoop, Hive, Ranger is a strong advantage;
Hands-on experience with AWS managed services such as Amazon Kinesis, MSK, Redshift, Google Bigquery,S3 is a plus;
Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL: SQL, PL/SQL, GraphDB;
Strong understanding of advanced security concepts and implementation: SSL, PKI, LIT, OWASP, encryption and masking;
Strong understanding of Identity & Access management, Authentication & Authorization : LDAP, Active Directory, Radius, federation, SAML;
Strong understanding in networking concepts: TCP/IP, VPN, reverse proxies, firewalls;
Experience with CI/CD development & deployment tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Nexus and Git;
Familiarity with scripting language, primarily Unix Shell, Perl, etc.
Experience with Virtualization concepts and orchestration technologies such as Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes;
Experience with manual & automation testing;
Practical working experience in an Agile development (scrum) context;
Knowledge or willingness to learn how to translate business problems into software & technical requirements;
Strong interpersonal skills, customer centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity;
Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies quickly;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
Team player and willing to work in a multicultural environment.
